Set quite literally on the banks of the Nile, this property certainly retains the best position in Luxor. The foyer is decorated with marble and presents a clear idea that this property has strong ties to the Egypt of a bygone era. Views of the river are fabulous from most of the rooms and public areas, and it is a joy to sit out on the terrace to dine, watching the feluccas ply their trade on the river. Décor is certainly ‘high Egyptian’ and guest rooms reflect the French influence often found in Egypt. The outdoors areas including the pool step down towards the river, so you are certainly close to the river action wherever you go in the hotel.
